Spannered Extreme!

29th June to 1st July

Our next show is at the amazing DIY organised festival, Spannered Extreme!

Spannered Extreme
is a collaborative effort from organisers Cait (Roughneck Riot) and Adam (Hated Til Proven) and venue owner Mark Hale. The festival started out last year as an all day event in Warrington under the name Spannered Fest. They found Hale's Superbole when Roughneck Riot played a show there last summer. Although the gig itself was slightly shambolic (an outdoor, open-top stage in the rain and car headlights lighting the stage!), the Spannered crew were impressed by the venue. They spoke to Mark who was  keen to put on a music festival combined with one of the extreme sports events that he frequently hosts there.

Spannered Extreme will host some of the best Punk and Ska bands in the UK over the space of three days, with some acoustic aftershows on the Friday and Saturday. Check the links below for some examples of bands who are playing.

Roughneck Riot - Ignorance is Easy

Hated Til Proven - Don't Go Breaking My Legs

China Shop Bull - Rave To The Grave

Rasta4eyes - Good Old Rock n Roll

Revenge Of The Psychotronic Man - Drinkin In The Van

Faintest Idea - Bull In A China Shop

Inner Terrestrials - White Nightmare

Why we started a mailing list.

Hey Everyone! How’s it going? You good? Good!

You might already be aware of the changes Facebook has made to their Page system, but incase you aren't, I'll sum it up for you. Facebook is now a publicly traded company, which means they need to answer to shareholders. What do these shareholders want? Money, obviously! So now they have implemented a pay-to-post system for status updates from Page accounts.

Usually, if you 'like' a page, it's because you want to see their status updates on your newsfeed. The lovely people at Facebook (along with EdgeRank) have decided that Pages shouldn't be able to communicate with the people who want to hear from them without paying first. Most status updates are seen by approximately 10% of your fans, and admins are asked to 'promote' their posts for cash. Posts will be promoted for free if they get a lot of likes, comments and shares, but even that is a bit of a lost cause. So we've decided to start a mailing list. This way, we can guarantee that the people who want to hear from us do, and it gives control back to us, instead of Facebook.

What will be included.

Subscribers will receive emails from us about tours we're planning and upcoming releases. We might mention some of our bigger gigs, but we promise not to email you every time we play a show that might be nowhere near you. We will also try to include some exclusive content for the mailing list, such as unreleased tracks, preorders and giveaways.

So that’s it from me. See you all at Spannered Extreme!
