Fall Like Rome

Last night we played at a fundraiser in Basement 20. Unfortunately we turned up late due to work problems. We arrived at the venue at about 9:10 and walked straight onto the stage. It took about 5 or 10 minutes to get everything sorted, then we played. It was a very strange feeling, just walking into a place, plugging in and playing straight away. Plus the place was packed (Nice one, Vicky!) We played well and people were singing along and dancing which made me feel a lot better about it.

We also played our new song Fall Like Rome. It's a little bit different from the songs on the EP, but I think it's a step in the right direction. Right now we're going to focus on more new songs, but hopefully we should be able to record some more tunes to share.

There's a few gigs in the works at the minute too, so keep an eye out for them.

Cheers!

2012

So it's 2012 already. 2011 had some great things and loads of shite. Mostly shite. The Arab Springs and subsequent uprisings, when paired with the Occupy! protests set a promising future for us, but the resulting heavy handed tactics employed to stifle these movements provides more cause for concern. This isn't really a political blog or a Charlie Brooker end-of-year review, so I'll leave the rest of that up to yourself.

2012 looks like it could be a good year for us as a band though. With the addition of Mark to the band, we now have more scope to play around with and we are currently working on new material for the new year. We are also working on booking a small tour in March. Hopefully followed by the recording of our first full length album. I'll tell you more about all of that as it unfolds.

Have a good 2012, and we'll see you soon.
